Candy Bouquets

Candy bouquets are always a cute gift and there easy to make and easy to personalize.

You can usually find the buckets in the dollar bins at Target and Michaels. I pick up different color buckets all year long because they are always changing and I can never find the bucket I want when I need it. If you don't want to use a bucket you can make your base out of candy. Tape the walls of the candy together and cut out the bottom from cardboard. Tape the bottom to the walls. Cut a piece of scrapbooking paper to cover the cardboard on
the bottom.

Get a small square of Styrofoam and hot glue it to the bottom of the bucket or the cardboard. You may need to break up some peices of styrofoam to fill in the missing spots.

Use heavy packing tape and tape the back of the candy to kabob sticks. I tried using hot glue once but it melts the candy.

If you are making personilzed labels, place your label over the original candy wrapper and
the stick.

Add a few little decorations and your done.

Marker Organizer

I have this friend that is so much fun to hang out with. but every time we are together we have a tendency to over shop. Most of the purchases we make seem to involve large quantities of the same products…… 40 packages of velvet stickers, 35 different stamp pads, 250 different plastic shapes to make scrapbooking faster. We never seem to be happy unless we have purchased the products entire line!

Well, on our most recent trip together we took a class on blending markers. Between the class instructor and my dear friend, it didn’t take long before I purchased what I thought at the time was the entire set of 150 different markers.  The markers were expensive and in order to make them last they have to be stored on their side. The markers also needed to be stored in a location that was easy to get to; otherwise I will never use them. I looked around online and in some of the craft stores but couldn't find anything that met both my criteria, so I ended up making my own marker holder.

  1. Wash and peel the labels off of 12 soup cans
  2. spray them with black spray paint
  3. Use a round cutter and make circles to cover the bottom and the inside of the cans.
  4. Use the paper trimmer to cut the paper for the outside of the can. One 12x12 paper covers three cans.
  5. Spray the cans with Mod Podge
  6. Hot glue the cans together- you could really make any shape you want.
